The Dollar Game

  1. Each person selects one number. That is their number for the entire game, excluding end of periods (except if period ends with a goal, then ZERO counts).
  2. If their number is the number showing as the last second when the whistle blows and the clock stops.
    1. The person with that number receives $1 from each players.
    2. If there is a penalty on the board, the person with the number on the penalty clock, gives $1 to each player.
    3. If multiple penalties are in place, all the numbers on the penalty clock are paid out as above.
  3. You need to be present, in the row, between when the whistle blows, and before the new play starts, to collect. If you are anywhere else, you lose
  4. You do not need to be at your seat to pay out if someone else wins.

  5. If there is a time reset, by the officials, due to an error in time keeping, before the next play starts, the final time will be used for payout. Not the time the clock stopped for the whistle.
  6. The clock does not come into play, if the play has not started, but a whistle blows (change face-off players, etc.).
  7. If the clock stops, due to a goal, the payouts are doubled.
  8. If the clock stops, due to a short-handed goal, the payouts are progressively doubled.
  9. If the clock stops during the last 2 (2:00 or less) minutes of the 3rd period, and overtime, the payouts are progressively doubled, yet again.
  10. SHOTS OPTION: At the end of the period and OT. If your number is in the Ones, of the shots played,   then all players that opted in, will pay $1 to the winner, $2 if both team shots match the number. If numbers are re-set during the break, then final numbers are played.
  11. JACKPOT OPTION: If clock stops on a minute of a players number, in the last half of periods 1-3 (10:00, 9:00 .. 1:00), all players that opted in will pay $5 to the jackpot winner. No other dollar game rules will apply (except for player with zero/even as their selection).
  12. FIRST GOAL: Each player selects one player from home team per period and OT. Cannot select same player. If their player scores first, in that particular period/OT, then all players that opted in, will pay $2 to the winner.
  13. FIRST GOAL VARIANT: Each player selects two forwards and one defense man from home team per period and OT. Cannot select same player, going forward. If their player scores first, in that particular period/OT, then all players that opted in, will pay $2 to the winner.
  14. ODD/EVEN: Instead of picking numbers, when only two players are playing, one player plays even and the other plays odd numbers.
  15. REVERSE GOAL: If opponent scores everything reverses
  16. Side bets are allowed, and encouraged throughout the game.
